Carousel of Languages offers a 10% discount for each additional full sibling registrations.
Withdrawal / Refund
If you register, but choose to withdraw two weeks before class starts you will receive a full refund minus a $50 registration fee. Withdrawal requests must be sent in writing to email@example.com. There will be NO REFUNDS for withdrawals after classes have begun.
Absence and Make-up Classes
Please call 24 hours in advance if your child will not be attending class. Classes are deliberately kept small, and each child’s presence is important to the balance of the group.
*Carousel of Languages allows two make-up classes per session.*
Make-up classes must be completed during the current session and will not carry over to the following session. Please call in advance to schedule a make-up class.
In the event of teacher’s absence, the Carousel team will do everything possible to provide a substitute teacher. Carousel of Languages is not responsible for notifying parents of substitutes. If there is an emergency and a substitute teacher cannot be found Carousel will arrange a make-up class.
Food / Nut-free Environment
Due to severe student allergies, we ask that children do not eat snacks containing nuts while on the Carousel premises. We thank you for your cooperation.
School Closings Due to Weather Conditions
Carousel of Languages is closed for snow or inclement weather when New York City public schools close. Carousel of Languages does not offer make-up classes due to weather related closings.
In compliance with fire safety protocol, we ask that you bring lightweight, foldable strollers and do not block the hallway. All double strollers must be folded. Strollers must be placed in front of the building in an orderly manner as to not block the entrance or sidewalk for pedestrian traffic. Carousel of Languages is not responsible for strollers left outside.
Parent Participation & Responsibility
A parent or caregiver must attend and is responsible for the well-being of his or her child while in class.
For our students under 2 years old, we ask that caregivers join in the class activities and songs.
We request that you step out of the classroom with your child if he or she becomes disruptive, and re-enter when the child is calm.
We ask that our waiting area remain a quiet space to not disrupt the classes in session. Siblings who are waiting with a parent or caregiver during class must be supervised and occupied with a quiet activity.
Due to limited space, students should not arrive more than 15 minutes before class and not remain longer than 15 minutes after class.
Carousel of Languages reserves the right to change teachers without incurring any liability or obligation.
A student may switch out of a class during the session into another class based on availability.
Carousel of Languages is located on the 2nd floor with staircase only access. The stairs should be ascended and descended slowly and carefully while holding the handrails.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver at all times and may not go up or down the stairs without a parent or guardian.
Parents and caregivers are responsible for the supervision of their child before and after class.
Photography / Videography Release
By registering for lessons/classes parents give permission to Carousel of Languages to photograph, film or make sound recordings of their child. These images and recordings will not be distributed or sold or used beyond Carousel of Languages’ curriculum, professional development activities and promotional materials.
